About RRH.
Red Rose Horror is dedicated to reviews, essays, and videos about the horror genre from movies and shows to books and broader topics. Balancing personal insight and historical context I write about what is haunting, harrowing, heartbreaking, and of course horrifying. Many posts explore what horror reveals about grief, rage, gender, race, and the shadows of society.
This is a space about fear of monsters, rage, and final girls who cry and get revenge. Welcome to the shadow I call Red Rose Horror. No matter if you’re here for film reviews, haunted symbolism, or raw reflection—you're welcome in this space. Please stay as long as you need. Scream Queens, shadow lovers, Final Girls, soft monsters, Guiding Skeptics, true believers, Monsters Minions, sacrificial lambs, and Harbingers all welcome.
About Me.
My writing style blends the poetic with research analysis that is rooted in a deep love for a lot of random things like horror, both popular and obscure. Like many horror fans I’m interested in what scares us; not only why we love that scares but what that says about us (and sometimes what it doesn’t say). Horror is examined as not only entertainment but as a mirror held up to us through storytelling, archetypes, themes, and other elements. I try to blend my other interests like history, politics, and marketing with my love of horror and how I review horror.
