Welcome! I'm Kayla Moreé or @PrismatiKayla and this is the author dedicated page on my horror website, Red Rose Horror. While I am passionate about horror (I watch, read, and spend too much $ on horror) )it isn't the only thing I care or write about. In addition to horror reviews I write poetry, short stories, articles, non-fiction essays, and fiction novels.

The poems in My Impaired Judgments (MIJ) were originally written by me, Kayla Moreé, between 2010-2025 largely about my mental health struggles through adolescence and subsequent addictions.

No poems are offered as fact or evidence and rather explain the wireframe of my experience from just my POV at the time the events occurred (for some poems that is the same time in which they were originally written). Due to this these poems only reflect that single perspective on the situations and scenarios included they are not offered as the sole truth.

I hope that MIJ finds those who relate to (or connect with) the poems and at the very least they provide entertainment while reading. Despite the subject matter I do not believe that my circumstances are the worst or even relatively bad when compared to others but rather that they just simply are.

Vampire horror fantasy novel currently titled:
The Fixation

A disgruntled but trapped employee tries to escape an eccentric and domineering boss with extreme & permanent measures.

When their plan backfires and causes even more interest in their torment under employ & must find another way to escape by going underground before their boss or any of his other, even more indebted employees, discover the plot.

The first complete draft is finished and the story is currently being edited and evolving (hence the vague description). If you're interested in getting updates when they become available you can sign up on to receive updates below.

Faceless After Dark (2023)

Opening with the final product Faceless After Dark released in 2023 starring Jenna Kanell as Bowie, a B-horror movie actress who has just broken into the industry.
